We picked up the application development of this project when the original agency unfortunately found themselves unable to complete the project.
Two lead developers had spent a month each attempting to complete the site but couldn’t find a way to add the remainder of the sites features without breaking what they had already built.
The project was well behind schedule, and the Champions League season had already started.
To get the codebase into a usable state we quickly refactored the existing work into an implementation of the excellent Symfony framework.
Once we had a stable foundation to work from we worked with UEFA to prioritise the missing features. It turned out that the most critical part of the site was video analytics, as this allowed UEFA to demonstrate viewing figures and value to their sponsorship partner Ford.
We fixed this critical missing piece within two days, and then finished the remainder of the site to the full specifications within two weeks.
